Claire is an entrepreneur, CEO, and artist who works with oil on canvas as an attempt to explore questions as felt experiences. Art has always been a meaningful part of her life, as her mother is an active artist. In the Korean tradition, when a newborn turns 1 year old, several objects are laid in front of them (e.g., a ball, a dollar bill, an apple...), and whichever the baby chooses marks their destiny. Claire chose a pencil – and ever since then, she has been passionate about creating, dreaming on, and expressing visually what sometimes doesn't always feel visible.

Claire is perpetually curious about the duality of life, and uses painting as a conduit for those liminal spaces: The seemingly opposite that create coherence, the process of remember and forgetting and remembering again, the widening and contracting of life, the feeling of agency amidst the absolute randomness of it all. As a good friend of Claire's once said: Contrast creates meaning.

Here is a selection of Claire's work. She is available for commissioned pieces.
