Nothing is quite as fascinating as the human consciousness. The way that ideas, metaphors, images, swirl around the mind, making surprising connections, forming unlikely patterns, is the subject matter of my maximalist assemblages. I am endlessly intrigued by the unexpected intersection of seemingly unrelated things. I enjoy working intuitively, layering together images of architecture, anatomy, Islamic design, cartoons and machines into webs of intersectionality. I am also interested in layers, in seeing through images to images behind, in stacking and peering through.
