The Point Reyes region has been my place to gather images for the last 30 years. My first photo outing was on a hike with my grandfather in 1966 to Arch Rock at the end of the Bear Valley trail. This hike planted a seed that became a passion and led to my studies at the San Francisco Art Institute. There I studied with Linda Conner, Hank Wessel Jr. Pirkle Jones, and Jack Fulton. My focus was on the classic black and white print. The toxicity of the wet darkroom process has shifted my output to digital prints, though I still make Silver Gelatin prints upon request. I have travelled above the arctic circle and to the jungles of Sri Lanka to gather images, but it is Point Reyes that keeps challenging me to dig deeper and respond to the landscape. My work has appeared in major publications from the New York Times to Orion to People. My images are in collections at Genentec, Banana Republic, UCSF Hospital, National Bibliotec Paris and many more.
