Through my art I seek to find places of stillness and unfolding possibilities. As our institutions and old ways of doing things stutter and crumble, I am drawn to nature to appreciate the endings, the in-between places and the new beginnings. Living at the edge of the Pacific allows me to see the edges, the transition zones, the places where change is continually visible. My artwork is abstract and metaphorical, allowing the viewer to bring her or his own experience into it.

My intention is to create artwork that calms the mind and stimulates the imagination to envision new possibilities.
