Tom has been creating Japanese-style wood and linocut prints of the California landscape for over 35 years. He was born and raised in Marin County and moved to West Marin after living for many years in Santa Cruz. In 2009 Killion and his poet friend Gary Snyder completed a new book titled Tamalpais Walking. This Open Studios tour will feature Killion's latest work, books, posters and cards, as well as rare and out-of-print images from his archives. Visitors can see the original blocks and tools Tom uses to create his multi-color prints, and they will be able to pull their own "keepsake" print on his hand-cranked Asbern proof press. For complete information about his work please visit his website (www.TomKillion.com) linked above.
