returning gold to the sun

Point Reyes offers abundant reference material for artistic research. My newest work combine imagery humoring overwhelming statistics indicating our perpetuation of the "6th global mass extinction" accelerated by business as usual. Having survived previous extinctions, the sea urchin remains a time capsule and mandala predating our own fossil records. My Paintings and installations offer conversation to celebrate our humanities relationship to the Sea. With a variety of style and technique, I experiment with pigment, polymers and resin on wood, canvas and walls and build installations as a new form of shrine incorporating raw architecture. As the urchin remains a time capsule of circular energy we may regard wild animals as Gods since their survival depends on us. Lets discuss a future temple of the Urchin, Thanxgiving weekend.
